Clown v2 n13 (March 1934) was published by Clown Publishing Company (likely an imprint of Rodale Press), founded by Jerome Irving Rodale. He was also the publisher of American Humorist and much later magazines like Prevention. A noted proponent of organic farming, he may unfortunately be best known for dying of a heart attack on the Dick Cavett Show. As with other humor publications of this period Clown has offensive images and other content. |
