Steve’s ex-girlfriend reveals the truth and Steven is angry, but then learns he was already chosen for the job before Ruth’s father donated money to hire him.

Mort says she looks "horrible," and dumps her. Plastic surgeon Russell operates on Monica but has to report for military service before he sees the results. Monica, beautiful once again, resumes her dancing career but wears various masks as a gimmick. Russell returns and sees his work. He and Monica will be married.

However, when Alan rescues Pop from drowning, Pop changes his opinion and gives his blessing to Alan and Lila.
